Hey there! Welcome to Adulting with Adwoa! My name is Adwoa Asante and I’m a 26-year-old Ghanaian-Canadian lifestyle content creator and influencer based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I’m a massive lover of Crocs, matcha, and fluffy animals! Oh, I totally have to mention that I’m a bit of a gym rat, but also a HUGE foodie with a bad sweet tooth, so I’ll probably say or do things you wouldn’t expect from a typical gym rat.

Here’s a little more about me and what we’re doing here!
I’m in my 20s trying to figure out how to navigate adulthood since there is no guidebook on becoming an adult. I honestly feel like I’m faking it most of the time. Like the go-getter, self-starting, never resting hustler I am, I had to take things into my own hands and create this blog. Unfortunately, I am none of those things, but I really do want to use this blog to share my journey through adulthood.
The plan for this blog is to document how I’m making it through my adult years, sharing any lessons I have learned and tips or advice I think any new adult would benefit from. I also want to share my perspective on things I love and my adventures: crocs, matcha, fitness, food, travelling, makeup and skincare. I’ve been creating content for seven years as a way to express my creativity, show off my personality and meet new people. Like most people, I started by making YouTube videos and, over time transitioned to Instagram and TikTok as those platforms began taking off.
A small disclaimer about my past…
There is a small confession I have to make… I have had a blog in the past, but I didn’t have any direction with it, so I let it come to a slow, flickering death like the scented candle that I forgot about in the other room an hour ago. That won’t happen this time (I swear on my first-born crocs’ life!) because I have been itching to blog again over the past year, and I finally bit the bullet and created my new baby (blog), Adulting with Adwoa. With that being said, I cannot wait to share my thoughts on this new platform and build a new community on my little corner of the internet.
How things will run on this side of the internet
With my blog posts, I will do my best to be your older sister/bestie/mom friend, no matter the topic. That’s just who I am: I can be all PROFESSIONAL, but that isn’t really on-brand for me in the real world a majority of the time. It’s gonna be a chill place where you don’t feel judged and I make content that I love.
