Bota Undergarments – My Latest Obsession

In the age of making more sustainable choices, brands like Bota Undergarments have made it their mission to ensure that their products are good for you and the Earth. They do this in many ways, but the most notable way that Bota achieves this is through their new underwear recycling program, the Top Drawer Detox Kit.

I want to share a bit about the brand and why I love them so much. I first discovered Bota on my TikTok For You page, a creator I followed shared this new brand that made sustainably made cotton underwear. I did some more deep diving and found out Bota was founded by two Calgary-based women, Rayna and Grace, and that made me instantly fall in love with the brand. I love to support local brands, so it was divine timing that I stumbled across them.

Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of why I love this brand and why you will too!

Aside from the fact that I love to support local businesses, here are more reasons why I love Bota Undergarments and want everyone to know about them and support them! Bota Undergarments are Sustainably made, size-inclusive, super comfortable, and ethically made, and the owners are pretty rad!

Why I Love Bota Undergarments

Sustainability

The older I get, the more I learn about my impact on the Earth, the more changes I want to make to ensure that I do my part to keep the Earth in a better spot. I have been cutting down on so many things in my life, more notably less mindless shopping from fast fashion brands, and trying to be more mindful of how I spend my coin by researching the brand to see if their products are made sustainably, have sustainable practices etc. Bota covers it all; their underwear is made from non-toxic GOTS-certified organic cotton that is breathable and incredibly soft and helps promote downstairs health!

Bota Undergarments prides itself on the fact that all of its products are made in India, in a factory that pays their workers a liveable wage (as they should #slay💁🏾‍♀️ The more I learn about this company, the more I love them and just want the best for them, so make sure to check them out, especially if you need to detox your top drawer!

Size-Inclusive (4x to xs)

In this day and age, I get the ick immediately when brands aren’t size inclusive. Like, c’mon, it’s 2023, we aren’t all the same size, and we shouldn’t strive to be a size zero like the magazines tried telling us to be in the early 2000′. Bota has sizes that range from 4x to xs, so people of all shapes and sizes can purchase and use their products and feel good wearing them(as they should 😌).st want to mention that the gusset size isn’t the size of floss, so bless you, Grace and Rayna!!

Perfectly Designed

Piggy-backing off that last comment on the gussets, Bota got everything right when they designed their products because, tell me, why when I am rocking my Bota’s, I forget I am wearing them?? Usually, I can always feel my undies which isn’t a fun feeling. Most brands have gussets that are the size of floss and have EVERYTHING falling out, which isn’t a cute look or feel, but because Grace and Rayna are so amazing, they made sure the gusset is a realistic size for all of the styles and sizes! No more wedgies and uncomfy undies, YAY!!

Rad Owners!

I am HUGE on people’s energy or ✨vibes✨ and I could immediately tell that Grace and Rayna have immaculate energy, which translates through the screen. I had the opportunity to meet them in person at a Market Collective event in Calgary, and I can confirm that I was indeed correct about them. They are the sweetest humans, and I would do anything for them. I want to put out this disclaimer that I am not being compensated in any way by making this post; I just wanted to do my part to spread the word about this fantastic company!

Innovative Initiatives

A bonus reason you will love Bota is that they started the first underwear recycling program in Canada called the ‘Top Drawer Detox.” This program is a way for you to recycle your undies in a manner that is so much better for the planet rather than them ending up in a landfill. Bota has partnered with a Canadian textile recycling company that will repurpose or process your undergarments into things like insulation and furniture batting, depending on the state of the undergarments, of course. There are more details on this amazing program here!

Let’s Wrap Things Up!

How to support Bota

You can support BOTA by placing an order through their website. YOu can either add to your collection or purchase the Top Drawer Detox kit to put the undies you don’t use to good use!

Another way you can support BOTA is by following them on social media and engaging with any content they share so they can reach even more people!

What are my favourite products from Bota?

My favourite styles are all of them, to be honest, but there is a time and place for them all. I absolutely love the high-rise brief for a casual day when I am hanging out at home in an oversized T-shirt. This style has the most coverage, so if that’s what you prefer, definitely get that pair.

For every day, I like to use the cheeky or thong depending on the amount of coverage I want, as well as the outfit I am wearing, IYKYK. If you’re feeling spicy? Go with the thong! Want to show off SOME cheek? Then go with the cheeky!

As a last note, make sure to pick up the limited edition colour (lavender) before they sell out!

Thank you to the internet Gods for introducing me to BOTA, Grace and Rayna!

Lots of Love,
