Workwear you can put in the Wash – Sophie Grace

Finding workwear—and clothing in general—when you’re a girly who loves lifting heavy circles can be a challenge. As someone passionate about fitness and building big muscles, I’ve struggled to find outfits that fit well (I’m looking at you legs!), look stylish, and allow the freedom of movement necessary for my active lifestyle and an added bonus is that they are long enough. This is a double whammy because I have muscle AND I am tall and have long legs so finding clothing that meets my requirements is a struggle. But recently, I discovered some game-changing pieces with the help of the lovely staff at Sophie Grace, and I couldn’t be happier with my new wardrobe additions.

The Struggle is Real

For many women who enjoy weightlifting and other forms of strength training, finding clothes that fit properly can be a daunting task. Standard sizes often don’t account for the muscle mass and unique proportions that come with regular lifting. Tops can be too tight around the shoulders and back (hello back gainz), and pants can be restrictive around the thighs, so finding something that doesn’t make you feel like you’re squeezed into a sausage casing can seem impossible.

The Breakthrough – Discovering Sophie Grace

Enter Sophie Grace. I stumbled upon this brand after seeing a few people I follow on social media talk about a Canadian-owned women’s workwear brand that you can put in the wash, if you own workwear, you know that most of it needs to be dry cleaned. As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. They took the time to understand my specific needs and preferences, guiding me towards pieces that not only fit my body type but also aligned with my style.

What I Found

With the help of the Sophie Grace staff, I found several workwear pieces that were perfect for me. Here are a few highlights:

  1. Blazers with Stretch: These blazers have just the right amount of stretch, allowing for a full range of motion without sacrificing a polished look. Perfect for meetings or presentations where you want to look sharp without feeling constrained.
  2. High-Waisted Trousers: These trousers are designed to accommodate muscular thighs and glutes while fitting comfortably at the waist. They offer a flattering silhouette and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
  3. Versatile Dresses: I found some stunning dresses that transition seamlessly from the office to after-work events. They provide enough give to handle my frame and look effortlessly chic.

The Experience

The shopping experience at Sophie Grace was exceptional. The staff’s personalized approach made all the difference. They understood the unique challenges I faced and went above and beyond to ensure I left the store feeling confident and comfortable in my new clothes. Their expertise and genuine interest in helping me find the right fit were evident throughout the entire process.
